Swirling Gauntlets by Susanna IC

Swirling Gauntlets by Susanna IC

So far I have blocked two pairs of the Swirling Gauntlets. On the left, I used the Classic Elite Woodland Yarn that is my most recent yarn of unusual origin. On the right, I used Paton Kroy Sock yarn. I like the effect of the slightly finer yarn but the pattern looks better in the heathered yarn. I may give this pattern a rest but look out for more fingerless mitts in the future.

These are beautiful! I’m learning quickly that a good pattern shows up best in solid yarn, while the variegated colors are better for a basic pattern. (You should see the misery of my FAB mardi gras hand-dyed sock yarn that I’m dealing with at the moment). Is this a revelry pattern?

Hi Meeko, so glad you found our blog! I first found this pattern pinned on Pinterest and followed the link to Ravelry where it’s a free download. If you like to follow particular designers, IC has a website full of free patterns, all very nice.

Thank you for checking out (and following! yay!) my blog. I hope to have at least some “progress” pictures up soon. And yes, my dad is awesome, truly. 🙂

Also, I checked out your blog and really enjoy it. I love that your Dad proudly wears the items you knit and has an opinion on the next piece he would like to receive. I look forward to seeing your Mardi Gras socks and alma mater cowl!
